This small working farm, set in the heart of mid Somerset, has been owned by John and Luana Law since 1973. The farm comprises of 45 acres, in two blocks.
The farm is stocked with Dexter cattle, (Britain's smallest breed) and Poll Dorset sheep. We sell breeding stock and produce prime beef and lamb. Turkeys are the main farm enterprise, producing about 1,000 for the Christmas trade making December a hectic time on the farm.
Wildlife on the farm
Rabbits, foxes and squirrels are a common sight on the farm, whilst a large badger sett, down on the banks of the River Axe, provides home to an ever expanding community. The river bank also has become home to a rising population of mink, which have raided our turkey pens on a number of occasions.
For the early risers, deer can sometimes be seen in the nearby fields. A wide variety of bird-life can also be spotted around the farm, including owls, buzzards, kingfishers, and more recently egrets.
